Thoughts on this little bargin please!

Ok at work last night i got talking to the other doorman who had (a few months back) crashed his Mazda 323F and was going to scrap it!

I said before he does that let me have a look as i might steal some panels!

anyway get there today. take one look and sign the V5 and take it away!!! (after talking money of course!) :eek:

Mazda 323F 1.5 1997 (P)
Red
96,000 miles
6months MOT
No Tax!

Now this is how it looked when we picked it up

So i was told that it would need-

New Bumper
New Bonnet
New HeadLight
New Inidcator
New Airbox

So we got it home and started playing!

Heat gun fixed the dent

Took the indicator apart. and noticed all that was wrong was a broken clip! bit of insulation tape and away it went

now its looking like this

all is fixed (to an ok standard / without replacing the bymper) and i have a new headlight glass on the way! t

how much do you think i paid?? and what do you think it might be worth??

Quite a tidy motor that considering. Got to be worth £500 with a ticket.

Id give you £500 to go sort out the paint scheme on that row of houses!!!

the inside is so tidy its unreal! couldnt belive he was happy to let us have it so cheap!! :eek:

Well I paid a wooping total of £10 for this bad boy

Now I need to decide weather to keep in as my main car and keep the mini as a weekend thing! Or sell it for a profit??

i'd keep it and run it, unless you really need £300 odd quid..
you could run it for years and it still wouldn't depreciate

Currently a 1982 mini so not always the most reliable!

I'd use it as a run around and when it brakes then shift it on. I can't believe you only paid a tenner for that, the guy must have been nuts!

hes got a new car and thought it was really ****ed! he isnt a mechanic in the slightest.

haha insurance is £300 more expensive than the mini and i will have to insure them both
