excellent, some of the best cooling cases on the market, I have a 1200, if you ramp fans up to full temps are awesome, though you do notice the sound ;)

It's quite loud when the fans are at max yeah ;) but you can't complain about the cooling! The 1200 is pretty huge in size as well, 23 inches high if I recall.

Not sure about the 900, but the 275 fits in my 902 with about an inch and a half to spare - plenty of room. To maximise the airflow reaching the card, I dont have any hard drives at the same level as the 275.

would a 295 fit

I have got a 1200 with a 295. The good thing about the 295's is that the power connectors are on the side and not the back. However, I haven't got any hard drives in the middle HDD cage (directly behind/in front of the card) because it was difficult/akward to fit the card in when that cage had HDDs in.

Unless you are going to be using more than 6 internal HDDs - which would mean that every HDD cage would need at least one HDD in, the 295 will fit fine, otherwise it might be a very tight fit, doable but a tight fit.

It is probably best to keep the HDD cage directly behind the card clear anyway just for a bit of extra cooling through the intake fan (if you can manage to).

EDIT: Sorry, I now see you were asking about a 900

I can easily fit my GTX280 in the 900. It's a great case, keeps everything cool with fans set to low, barely audible at that level aswell. I would like to have the dust filters from the 900-2, but I'm sure I'll survive without them.
