Gmail, but couldn't get my name so I use Ymail also, which is excellent too.

I use gmail as my main account now, since i was able to use it as pop3 account never looked back.

Try again, honestly hotmail or the like doesn't compare

Gmail is the only email account i would use the other a tripe when you compare, google are always working on it too, it's the best thing since breaad came sliced!

I'd never go back to using an impersonal "free" generic provider.

When sending from a domain address Gmail now removes teh "on behalf of" tag on emails so it looks like you actually sent it from that address which is great.

Gmail UI > all
Your own domain address + Gmail UI > Universe.

I use POP3 on my desktop, but use IMAP on my laptop. And web everywhere else.

I use POP3 so I always have a copy of my emails.

I don't understand why people think gmail is so awesome? What is it that sets it apart from other free providers? I have an account but don't use it as the address I really want ([email protected]) is taken!

Outlook 2007 is bloated rubbish and constantly crashing on my work PC. Outlook Express for the win! But also, Gmail with your own domain name > all.

Forward your domain's email to your google accounts email address.

Then define your domain address in your email software and/or in google.

Easy! So for a few quid a year you have your own domain email account!

Googlemail
Ymail (Yahoo)
Live.co.uk (Hotmail)

accounts.. and the Google Spam Filter is second to none!.. never get anything slip through and it never quarantines anything it shouldn't!.. Yahoo is fine but slips up every now and then... and I don't really use the Live/Hotmail one!..

gmail POP3 on to Outlook 2007 at home, & gmail web from work.

domain account linked in to gmail for alternative address (info@) linked with Outlook 2007

have a hotmail account as well, but it doesn't get used for much except MSN any more as too much spam!

POP3, IMAP, great UI (themes > *), works well on a mobile device, loads of storage, threaded email?

yahoo has served me best i get no spam not even in the spam folder. But im guessing ive been lucky and just havent give my email to as many sites as others might
