Evening all :D

I'm a total Ubuntu Linux noob and decided to install it onto my macbook pro using VMware Fusion.

I did this because I wanted to build a desktop computer and can't have Mac OS X on it and I can't go back to windows so thought I better look into Linux.

One important thing for me was the ability to visit flash video based sites. I went to pornhub.com and it said I needed a plugin which I downloaded and installed but the videos still won't play. Any ideas what the issue there is?

The other thing I wanted to know is there a program to change the themes easily? I see people have some fantastic themes from the other thread and wanted to know if theres an easy way!

Thanx for anyhelp with this!!

If a porn site needs a special plugin, then it's unlikely it will ever work on Linux.
It's also a bad idea to install stuff from porn sites in general.

You can get flash using Billy's tip.

Looking at the options there
(Dust Cold) - Seems to the be theme itself
(Dustfox Cold) - Seems to be a matching theme for Firefox
(Nodoka Dust Cold) - Seems to be a theme to play along with the Nodoka theme in Fedora

So for this exercise download the first one and save it somewhere like your desktop. Open System -> Preferences -> Appearance. Click Install and select the tar.gz archive. Bingo, it installs and is selectable from the horde of themes already there.

So you are correct, there is no need to extract the tarball before using it. Some themes on there, inexplicably, come as other types of archives like .rar or .zip. Inside those are the tar.gz archive(s) you want. I don't know why the creator of a theme would choose to compress it twice, but so it is.
