993 turbo is IMO the ultimate Porsche. It is the prettiest with the most iconic shape of all 911's.

As a daily driver I would probably opt for the more modern 996, but for a special car the 993 every time.

The 993 is gorgeous, absolutely so, but the 996 just pips it for me, shame I have the money that would be a decent 02 996 Carerra, (http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1059010.htm for example) but I think the gf might kill me for spending my half of the house deposit on a Porsche!

Going on looks the 993 wins hands down - hate the front of the 996. Driving wise however I couldnt comment having never driven either

The reason why a 993 has a premium is because everyone can then pretend they're as cool as Will Smith in the film Bad Boys. This comes at an added expense and rightly so in my eyes.

the 996 just does nothing for me. would a 993 as a daily be feasable, trundling up and down the motorway? hypothetically, of course

i just wish they were cheaper or were less expensive to run

once my company recovers from the sub prime crash I'd like to buy a 993 turbo/355 spider/gallardo those are all utterly sexual chocolate!

The main dislike of the 993 for me is the side profile of the cabin, just something about ti doesn't work for me
