So, who else is pre-ordering?

Sounds like a bargain to me.

You pay for the series upfront then you get to download them once released.. one episode a month.

Then, when all have been released, you get sent a spiffy DVD with ALL the episodes on for about a fiver to cover postage.

Telltale did a great job with Sam & Max and Strongbad so I have high hopes for this.

EDIT:
I think some of you are confused between:

Tales of Monkey Island

Secret Of Monkey Island: Special Edition

Pre-ordered it the day it was announced. :)

I'm a Monkey Island nut, and I'm a big fan of all Telltale's stuff now. They're pretty much a replacement for what Lucasarts used to be for me now. :)

Is this collectors edition definitely available to people outside of the US?
All the other stuff I have from Telltale has been delivered to the UK. :)

Probably been posted elsewhere already, but Lucasarts are also releasing a special edition of Secret of Monkey Island with new graphics, score and voiceovers. Sounds like it'll be out about a week after Tales.

A good time to be a Monkey Island fan!

Is it worth getting if you've never played it or will it have aged terribly. I'm not bothered about graphics, the humor seems to be the most important thing with this game which is something refreshing considering 90% of my games are gorefests.
