I have a spare 8800GT that I think was killed by a faulty PSU a few weeks ago, basically after swapping out the PSU in my wifes machine there was a burning smell from the card, the fan span @ 100% and did not display anything.

Im assuming its just dead but after reading a few threads about PhysX im now tempted to see if it can be salvaged as a PhysX card :D

Do you think its worth just sticking it in my machine and giving it a go? Ive very little hope but am intrigued all the same :)

Lol, nothing to loose, might give it a try.

Though the previous burning smell might imply its a little well done already :D
