Looking for something with 5 doors, will seat 4-5 people, good sized boot etc. Decent milage, manual.

I know sod all about cars as I don't drive myself, but having looked at some reviews I've narrowed it down to:

Keep in mind that these all cost the same unless otherwise mentioned.

Ford Fiesta Hatchback 1.25i 82 Style+

Skoda Fabia Estate 1.4 TDI PD 70 1

Renault Clio Hatchback 1.5 dCi 86 Expression

Ford Focus Hatchback 1.6 Zetec

Volkswagen Golf Hatchback 1.4 80 S - £400 extra for this

Vauxhall Astra Sport Hatch 1.6 16v 115 SXi

I'm thinking the focus personally, but any input would be good.

Cheers.

(It has to be one of those due to getting it via the Motability scheme, I don't want to start a big debate about it though.)

The Fiesta is nice, but a Focus will be a lot better, the Astra will be OK if a little 'plastic' and the Golf will be horrendously underpowered with a 1.4 engine in it.

Focus for me.

There's a voice that keeps on calling me.
None of them will seat 5 people and have a decent boot tbh, you need to be looking at the next size up cars really. Are you looking to buy new?

Edit, just noticed the motability thing,A few months ago, the Mazda 6 and Merc B class were available for very little deposit (around £500), those would be better bets I would have thought. But out of that list, the Focus for definate, the astra sport hatch is too small.
