I had exact same Shuttle few months back with a Sapphire 4870, was gonna go with a GTX260, I did some research and the 260 it won't fit without modding the power connector or us a sorter 6pin power cable.

I know its an old card now, but an 8800GTX would only just go in with millimetres left length wise and pretty much nothing left in width.

The below is my 8800GTS 640, it fits fine length ways but trust me if it was a couple of mm's wider it wouldnt have went it.

If the card your looking at it any bigger than an 8800GTX youve had it unless you modify the case.

Not the same model as OP was asking about, but I decided to downgrade my large SLi rig with 1000w psu to a shuttle SX48P2-deluxe

I've been a fan of shuttles pretty much for the last 10 years and have owned more than a few without any real issues

My plan was to stick one of my GTX280's in, and temporarilly donate an E8400 from my SG31 till I can get a good E8600 or Q9650

Got the XPC delivered yesterday and am up and running with the above kit plus 3x 500gb HD's and managed to clock the E8400 to 3.6 [400fsb] had to buy some ddr3 tho but that was less than a ton for 4 gig of XMS3 Dominator. Fans are all set to low and super silent in bios which is a bonus.

One word of caution tho, the SX48P2 Deluxe I have has a 4 way power connector in same location as above pic but it is mounted horizontally, there's no way my GTX280 would fit in a 35 if the connector is as shown in above pic, I believe shuttle originally had it as above in earlier models but then changed the orientation to allow for the really long cards.
