holy crap, nice find mate. If those are accurate then that is very impressive, literally double the performance of a 285? that good

edit: although I would be interested to see its performance across a broader range of titles, hopefully the guys at czech gamer can come up with the goods again!!!

tbh though, it is slightly concerning that they say
1. the results were direct from amd
2. they tested approx 15 other games
3 yet the only results we see are cherry picked from a 10.1 game.

either way this is now got me gagging for more

Looks like it murders the GTX 285, but is on par & slightly better in certain games than the GTX 295.
Which what we all kind of thought i guess, the 5850 could be the bargain imo.

It's a DX10.1 benchmark though, so the above benchmark is probably only reflective of about 1% of the games on the market.

If those prices would turn out to be true, then i would have to hold out, i would not pay more than £300 for a 5870.

I think they will be expensive but not that much, maybe around £250-270, at the moment I think ati are far more interested in market share then grinding out maximum profit.

ye id only pay for around 250+ however if the benchmarks after release are good enough i may consider, however i think ati will take advantage of how good the new 5 series is shaping up and lower the price. if they do sell for over £300 theyll have to really impress.
