My brother's acer aspire one seems to have developed some kind of fault.
According to him he was playing a game on an external projector, using an external cd drive and a usb controller when the laptop suddenly cut out completely. He said it was low on power before he started to play so my guess is the battery ran out.
However now, even when plugged into the mains the display doesn't seem to work. The fans spin up as normal but there's no display and no sign of it posting so I'm finding it difficult to get into the BIOS. My guess was that he was using the projector as the main display when the power cut out but even reconnecting it to the projector I can't see any visual signs of activity. I also thought that the cable connecting the display to the motherboard may have come loose but I opened it up and checked and it seems fine.
Any ideas?
