Need a little Advice. Currently have:

Q6600 @ 2.4 (standard)
Asus P5KC (takes upto 1066 DDR2 and 1333 DDR3)
2gb OCZ DDR2 800mhz
8800GTS 640mb
Corsair 520watt PSU
250gb Seagate Barracuda (sata 2)
40gb Samsung (IDE)

Ok First am wanting rid off the second HDD, get a Sata2 (for music videos and pictures etc storage).
The 250gb will be a fresh windows and games..... unless the one i buy is better for that.

Second upgrade RAM... as may aswell use full use of CPU and MoBo. Plus i have problems with the ASUS/OcZ mix... apparently isnt uncommon?!
(where has all the DDR3 Dual Channels on OC gone?)

Third upgrade GFX, seems to have slowed down with new card releases now.

So any sujestions?

Mine:
HDD - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-273-WD&groupid=701&catid=14&subcat=940

RAM - unsure now....

GFX - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-015-SK&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1410

thanks

Powercolor ATI Radeon HD 4890 1024MB (£126.99)

Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 10666C9 1333MHz (£72.99)

Western Digital Caviar Black 500GB SATA-II 32MB Cache (£42.99)

Zalman CNPS9500A-LED CPU Cooler (£12.98)

Subtotal £222.57
£255.96 inc VAT

Explained :

4890 & 275 perform the same but the 4890 £30 cheaper :/

You really need 4gb of ram these days & you will be better of in the long run going ddr3 now incase you upgrade again.

The green HD is out of stock & its not going to to save the world! . The blacks on TWO & will be faster.

You havent mentioned a cooler thus Ive speced this zalman & it should allow you to clock your Q6600 a bit aim for 3ghz.

Also flash your bios to the lastest version as they have worked out a few kinks with memory since its release.
