I just observed Stuart White of Look East, interviewing some director of operations at the Royal Mail, and tittered when Stuart asks him "Are you prepared to BEND in any way?" and furthermore when he repeats the question, "I'm sorry to ask you the same question, you say you're having conversations, but I'm asking if you're prepared to BEND in any way?"

Each time he puts emphasis on the word Bend.
