she cannot end the auction if there are under 24 hours left on it, or if it has any bids on it, so it'll have to run the course. BIN is the only option

thanks I will pay go down the bin route and pay her £60 as long as i have it in writing from her that that is waht we have agreed

the extra £10 eguates to only £1 in egay commission fees.

UPDATE

just my luck it all appears to have gone horribly wrong....

i got the email from the lady saying £60 would be ok and another email saying she did not know how to end the auction early. I hit the bin button at £70 with a covering email saying i would pay her £60 cash on collection (the price she was happy with in a previous email)

got an email from the lady after the auction closed saying...

I'm not sure if you are aware that you have actually pressed the buy it now price of £70.00 rather than bidding for it at £60.00

it's all gone quiet now despite 2 messages on my part explaining the situation. Also if I bid the £60 with no other bidders i could well have easily won the item at £50.00.

Iv'e got the feeling that the lady will be holding out for the full £70 :p
