As per the thread title, i'm trying to find the smallest combination, and in regards the cheapest.

I need it to be:

As small as possible (will be moved a lot)
Powerful enough to run Counter Strike Source/Left 4 Dead @ 1920x1200
Cheap.

What would you guys recommend? I have keyboards etc, only need the base unit with a case recommendation.

Youre actually wanting the components inside the case too yeah? Whats your max budget?

Edit: come up with this cheap quality build, should max out the above, you could go DDR3 mobo/RAM for a little bit more, your call, add an aftermarket cooler and clock the CPU if desired, there are cheaper gfx options (10-15) but this was cheapest one with decent cooler which vents out back instead of recirculating in case

Just bought one of these and am going to put my old Core 2 and 2gb ram, along with my X1800xt from my main machine, spare DVD drive and RAID0 a couple of 320gb Sammy F1's I bought by mistake a while back - should fly for LAN gaming!

You should be able to build something for well under £300 all in - less if you have HDD or any other components!

This, the case looks awesome and is good for moving about.

As for CS:S and L4D, a C2Q chip and a 4870/4850 should be plenty to run those happily. I just checked the OcUK bundles, and the small form factor ones don't support great graphics cards (generally just for media servers), so you may have to build your own.

Otherwise, pick an existing bundle, eg http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-197-OK and see whether OcUK will swap the case into the one above for you.

Asus do these: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-062-AS&groupid=701&catid=110&subcat= in a P45 chipset (which is slightly better than G31) - but that, coupled with a dual core 5x00/8400/7400, and 4Gb of RAM and the rest of the gubbins will be perfect.

CPU is a tad overkill, could probably even drop that to a E5300 and it'll run perfectly for what you need. Cut out and switch some drives if you want. But that's what I'd get.
