2000MHz (O.C)

Hello guys,

As you may know i am very new to all of this.

I'm just curious, i have seen many mother boards with the memory support like this: 1600MHZ (O.C), 2000MHZ (O.C).

What does this O.C mean?? Im thinking OverClocked but not quite understanding...

The processor does not officially support 2000mhz memory. So if it can't run it, don't blame Intel. It does mean overclocked I believe.

It means that if your ram and processor are capable of it, the board will run the memory at this speed. It's not the most meaningful comment since the memory controller is now on the processor so the board doesn't make much of a difference.

You probably want 1600mhz, would be fine with 1333 and will lust after 1866/2000. It's unlikely you'd notice any difference whichever you were using.
