Ok, sorry men...But i don't understand how the frost is too heavy...

But, in crysis, 25FPS is playable???
The vast majority of reviews I've seen for the HD5870 use Crysis Warhead on gamer settings, not enthusiast. That makes quite a difference as does using DX9 Enthusiast instead of DX10 Enthusiast. Benchmarks using the frost levels are generally considered to be the most taxing on a video card, so the benchie I submitted is close to worst case scenario, short of sticking it at 4xAA.

Only problem, or minor issue I can think of is I couldnt get the card to clip into the PCI Expresss slot, was kind of worried something was blocking it at first but it seems ok held in by the screws. lol

I had this when I had my GTX260. Was driving me mad for about 10 minutes. It seemed to sit even in the slot even and far enough in but just wouldn't click it. Then i realised that with it being a dual-slot card, I had to take the screw out was that over the second slot :o it was holding up the card a few vital mm

Notes:

Not sure why but my x64 crysis does not work, it is probably something to do with the No-CD Patch I am using, i will repeat this test when i find my crysis CD

I have a strange feeling CCC may not have stuck to the settings i gave it (e.g. 16xAF 16xAA) I will repeat the test with everything on CCC "application controled" and compare results

My Specs:
[email protected]
4gb ram
Asus Maximus Formula
5870 in crossfire

any queries just ask!

Use in game settings for AA, CCC has always been dodgy setting AA for games.

Forget crysis, its a POS, cards ten years from now will still struggle to run as its that badly programed.

Another go at Crysis Warhead with newer drivers. Also ensured that everything in CCC was set to performance except AF and mipmap to maximum. Lower min but higher max and ave scores:

EDIT: Just realised I had Super-sample AA mode on which might have affected my score.

Stock Q6600 with 4GB Ram, then stock XFX 5870. It's only the first level but still I'm impressed by that :D If you notice the first run was 5 or so FPS slower due to my slow hard drive ;)
