My cat is now about 2 years old and I've had him since a kitten, He was the runt of the litter with one of his Dad being a stray.

All was fine he used to play nicely with everyone, but now will only play with and accept a stroke from me, He even follows me like a dog.
But anyone else even looks like there going to pet at him he goes mental hissing growling etc. He's even chased a friend round the flat trying to attack him.
He's perfectly healthy had all his injections and has been done when i first got him as a kitten.

He's a big cat and I'm scared he will do someone some damage. So anyone know how I can get him to be a little more social with other people?

We had a cat like this, he was very jumpy and didn't like many people, just me and my brother really to my mothers annoyance.

In the end we got another cat, he wasn't the most sociable either but I think it helped each other.

So my recommendation would be to get him a nice little friend.

Castration is a must.

Other than that some cats are very much set in there ways he could just be a grumpy sod.

Do you feed him? If so get the other people who want to show him affection to do it sometimes instead. Get others to call him allot or say his name when he appears around the house/garden. Try get them to sometimes put their hand infront of the cat now and then (cautiously :p) and let him sniff them but dont stroke the cat until he leans in and brushes himself into the person showing hes happy to. If he runs off from them when the hand is offered then just get them to call him again he may not come back or whatever but who knows, cats may feel guilt and could come back to the person later or something.

Getting a wary/grumpy cat to socialise will require allot of patience.

He was castrated as a kitten, I didnt want him spraying up my walls. I would get another cat/kitten but dont know what he would do to it.

I recon he's just a grumpy sod, think his parents are strays. The funny thing is he will happilly play with a friends children.

I guess the best thing you can do is keep socialising him and exposing him to different people. Eventually, he will learn to relax with different people and not feel the need to defend his territory or attack people he doesnt recognise.

That sounds like my cat, whats the problem?

Do you really want a wimpy "roll over for anyone" respect everyone cat?
Had mine 10 years, it's only just recently started sitting on my lap of an occasion.

Your cat sounds awesome, ha ha. My cat is a runt too and she suffers from little-man syndrome. Mind you, she's not quite as successful prosecuting her evil intent as your cat seems to be. I would try giving him the snip. If you can find a vet brave enough to get anywhere near him.
