evening people just a quick question i will try and keep it simple, i have a 500gb hd, when i installed xp on it i created it on a partition of around 230gb, so i have another 230gb of free space on my hd which is not being used, this is want i want to install windows 7 on. My question is when i boot my windows 7 cd will it be as simple as installing it on the unused 230gb of space i have left.

many thanks

yup

just put the disc in and select the 2nd partition (may have to create it)

you'll then get a boot menu to pick from xp and 7 each time you turn the pc on
