Hey guys, one of the ladies at work, snapped/broke the charger for her sat nav in the car cigerette lighter. The end snapped off. This caused the car stereo to stop working too. Apparently there was a "bang" sound when the charger end broke. I have managed to extract the broken end of the charger from the car lighter socket. But the cigerette lighter and car stereo is not working still. My question is does the car stereo and cigerette lighter work off the same fuse or would this have done more damage then just a blown fuse? The car in question is a 2000 honda civic 1.6 se (1995-2000 model)

I can't say I have ever come across a car where the fuse is shared between the stereo and the lighter. Still, might be best to check. There should be a fuse diagram somewhere (haynes manual/instruction book)
