New build with a budget of £900

Hi all

Wonder if you could advise if I am making the right choices on the selection of components for my new build or would you spend it differently. Normally
I build a pc for lasting 3/4 years and I would like to O/C as high as poss

Budget £900

Intel Core i7 920 D0 Stepping
Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD3R Intel X58 (Socket 1366)
OCZ Obsidian 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600Mhz
Corsair TX 650W ATX SLi
Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB
Noctua NH-U12P SE1366
Powercolor ATI Radeon 5850

Smiffy, good choices
I would go for the 850 watt version psu as you are going for max overclock.

The heatsink is old and not up to the heat of a 920 at stock so look for something like
this

UPdate the cooler is ok, I was looking at the wrong review, my bad, I would still change it to one of those. The Prolimatech Megahalems has the best temps in any review i've seen

Cobblers - The Noctua is perfectly good cooler. Probably second only to the Megahelms you linked to. Certainly it keeps mine below 80C at 3.8Ghz.

The rest looks AOK !

Well Phage I have a an old Antec case no sure of the model number. But was think of changing my case but not spending to much money. looking at the Antec 300 Three Hundred Ultimate Gaming Case but are agin open to options in the £60 region. Thanks guys for all replys
