I currently have vista64 and utilites on my C drive and my games on D drive.
I will be upgrading to W7 and I know I will need to erase my C drive but do I need to reinstall my games again on my D drive?
Thanks.

Some yes, some no.

Stuff like steam will be ok, as will WoW, KOTOR and more.

But, be warned a lot of games have their saved games folder in the c:\ under your user profile. In particular games for windows, so you may need to copy them over before hand.

Wins7 is an upgrade for Vista users so no need to erase anything.

XP users WILL have to do clean install!!!

Nitemare ;)

It depends on the version of Vista and the version of 7. IIRC you can't do an inplace upgrade of Vista Ultimate to Win7 Home Premium for example.

I'd always recommend a clean install of a new OS anyway, but Win7 is meant to be pretty good at upgrading, providiing it will work.
