A few guys on here said they had the above head unit.

Just wondering if this is normal, sorry its a bit long-winded....

Get in the car switch on ignition then connect iphone to cable in glovebox.

Select an audio track and it then plays normally.

In the meantime the bluetooth is negotiating its connection to the phone once this has happened the audio then switches off but the track continues to play.

The only way I have found to sort this is then to go in the glovebox and unplug then plug the iphone back in.

To me this seems like odd behaviour as this needs to be done every time I stop and start the car.

Only way round it is to sit and wait till bluetooth connection has been established and then connect the iphone to the cable.

If this is normal then I reckon it'll be going back to the shop to be changed for an Alpine unit.

Anybody had similiar experience of this?

Any input would be very welcome. ;)

After a fair bit of searching about today found out some info about this.

Seems that its down to the way the software is implemented on the iphone.

The bluetooth audio connection is preferred over the cabled connection if it is present.

Only Apple could come up with something this stupid.

It just doesn't work.
