help with motherboard and ram

have a athlon phenom ii 940 black edition (am2+) need to buy a good motherboard and good ram
I want something better than bog standard
sort of future proof

any advice i would be grateful

Go for any of the asus or gigabyte boards as they are the best, i found the kingston ddr2 worked really well when i had my 940
