It's a good card for £55 but I would prefer to spend an extra £11 on this. Remember, the "1GB" on the 3850x2 is really 512mb (x2 obviously) but it still only gives you 512mb total usable VRAM as each 'card's' memory has to mirror the other one if that makes sense.

The 3850 is about as powerful as the 9600 GSO (well, the DDR3 version), so it will be almost like adding another 9600 in SLI. It should put you on par with a 4850/9800 GTX. That's pretty good for £56.

Though it probably is worth spending the extra £11 on a 4850 to get that level of performance, guaranteed.

Personally i would go for 4730 on that low budget and avoid B Grade stuff.

Or wait for the release of 57xx. Its bound to cause further price decreases in older stock as its going to replace the 48xx series.

i was just wondering. i will get cash for my bday from relatives to go towards a gfx card, and parents getin me a new phone. thought it would be good to get a new card now i got my new mobo this week =). i will get the 4850 if its better XD
