Ok, thought i'd add an update since I caved and went for a fair amount of 59p+ apps now :) Favourates being:

Tube Deluxe
CoPilot UK - Fantastic sat-nav for the price (£22ish I think!)
RadioBOX - Great for streaming BBC Radio
GD Swarm
Scrabble
Real Racing
Backbreaker Football
AppBox Pro
Dropbox
iDisk
Train Search (Cross Country) - FREE (Who has paid £4.99 for the national rail one?)
Spotify - (Not actually used until I think about subscribing!)

theres an app called fileaid which when i last checked was free, use this with a windows based partner proggy called diskaid (not free) to transfer files to fileaid folder. i am preety sure u dont need a jailbroken app for as fileaid app is on appstore

From having a quick look you need to install the application onto the PC which is a bit annoying but I guess a start. Thanks for your help :)

I've got ping! Its pretty much instant messaging crossed with sms. Handy though when you run out of texts :D

Bionic Eye is pretty cool as well.
