emergency help, please. Partitions+ win7

due to hdd failure I was forced to reinstall wib7, last time I just done it over my old partitions.
Thinking it was like xp I partitioned off 100gb for c drive. Now when in windows this all I have. Cab I somehow acess the other 900gb of do need to reinstall and delete that partition?
How do I create partitions when in windows?
And what's the exact mb in 100gb as 102400 gave 99.9gb.

If I understand correctly, it appears Windows has not given your 900GB partition a drive letter.

Type diskmgmt.msc in the start menu, press enter, right click on the partition and add a drive letter by clicking on Change Drive Letter and Paths...

trying to get back into it as I want to change a partition but it's taking ages to load!....gggr!

give it time or any ideas?
