Hi,

Just put together a computer for my housemate after a week long shipping fiasco, but it won't work.
It starts up, all fans spin, but the monitor won't come out of power save mode and after a while the pc restarts itself. I can't tell if there is a post error or not as the case doesn't have a speaker, but it seems wierd as the pc waits 40 seconds to a minute before it restarts
At first i thought it was the graphics card (GTX 275), but when i put it in my pc it worked fine. However mine (8800 GTX) didn't work in his. I put his back in and tried my monitor with no luck.
We both have the same wattage PSU (750) and i have tried both sets of PCIe rails on the PSU to connect to the card.
I've checked all the cables and nothing seems to be unplugged.
Does anyone have any ideas because i'm stumped and my mate is getting very depressed that his new pc won't work.

Cheers for any replies.

After a bit more digging around on the internet it turned out that one of the ram sticks is dead. Sigh.

Thanks for the idea though mate ;>
