Hi,

I was wondering if you kind people woudlnt mind giving me your opinions/expertise on this situation:

Iv had a major operation from the start of october but the doc at the hospital has said it could take up to a month or so for you to get back to normally (fully). The hospital issued me a SSP 2 weeks note...but I was wondering if I would need a medical certificate to officially say iv been ill/sick from october to X. Im not sure when i'll be fully well ...I cant stand up for too long until i start to get pain... and my job requires me to stand all day.

Is there any other documents I would need to say iv been ill from October to X as I dont know when ill be back up and running.

probably down to your employer what they want for proof?

What are the usual proofs employers usually require?

hospital doc should be able to issue a 'med3' cert but likely won't and will ask your GP to do it instead. gps are well used to this i believe

Yeah i doubt the hospital will do anything now that im not in thier care.
