At the weekend my iPhone 2G developed 3 horizontal lines running about a 1/4 of the way across the screen and coupled with my broken mute button, I decided to make an appointment with a Genius for tomorrow. The handset itself is in perfect nick, having been wrapped in an invisibleShield since day one. The phone is about 6 months out of warranty, but I read on the Apple site that they do offer Out-of-Warranty services for a price. Has anyone had any experience with iPhone repairs/replacement after the warranty is up? Will I need to take my original receipt, as that is currently a couple of hundred miles away.
It was also Jailbroken once, but is now and has been "official" for some time, will this matter?
Any help appreciated
