First off, i have searched around for this and emailed BT to try and find out the answer to this but no response yet!

In the next month or so i'm hopefully moving into a house. At the moment i rent and have no plans on taking that landline number with me as it's a different area code. This new house has an awesome landline number and the people living there at the moment are moving out of the area and so can't take the phone number with them.

My question: can BT transfer it to me? Can i have it?

I'm not sure why i'm so excited but its ***** **3000! Pretty awesome i'm sure you will agree.

yes you can. Just tell them that you already have dial tone at the premises, give them the number and advise that you want to keep it.

Post the full number so we can give proper advice.

Oh and yes you will be able to keep their number.

Edit: It doesn't look so special as there is no 1337 at the end.
