OCZ faulty ram

Purchased 3 x 2Gb sticks (triple channel) OCZ Gold PC3-12800 ram from OCUK the other week to use in my computer rebuild.

Rebuild rig yesterday and kept blue-screening when trying to load Win7.

Ram Memtest and 1 of the sticks failed so now running machine happily with 2 sticks - although annoying as not getting triple channel.

Question is - would I have to return ALL 3 sticks back to OCUK for them just to replace the faulty 1? If so may not bother as that would leave me with an unuseable machine until the new lot arrived.

Yeah you have to return the entire kit

For what it's worth I RMA'd some DOA OCZ Gold ram to OCUK and they turned it around very quickly.

Might look around for just 1 stick ram as a replacement then rather than have a unuseable pc for serveral days as I need it for my work!

Hi, I'm having to RMA some OCZ Platinum PC3-12800 (2 x 2GB) to OcUK tomorrow, one of the sticks fails memtest86, do you mind me asking how long it took for OcUK to turn it around for you?

I had the same problem with the same memory in january OCUK replaced with a corsair much better
