Its true, one overtook me the other week, i was doing 10mph and she was doing 15, i didn't stand a chance.

Ive got a 1.4 6n2 polo, its a decent car, compared to clio its about the same speed wise. Parts for it are cheap and its good on fuel , i average around 45-50mpg.

edit: cheers no original. I think I might need to drive one to see how it compares in driving terms...I've been impressed with the clio's fuel economy, and the polo's sounds good too!

I have a Polo and a Golf.

Never again. Apparently they are reliable and will keep going and only today the Golf is starting to make odd noises.

They're decently built cars but "far superior"....riiiiiiight ok then.

My Mondeo door closes with as much of a satisfying thunk as a passat, it doesnt rattle as much either.

If he's talking about the same generation of cars a 1998 Golf is indeed built better than a 1998 Fiesta, but this is no shocker really, when new the Fiesta cost almost half that of a Golf.

i have regular use of an 07 focus, and 2 different 06 reg fiestas at work and the golf mk4has better build than all of them. it's not being a fan boy, it is what it is.

you're asking wether the sound the door makes when closed is a sign of quality? it's one of the simplest bench marks of quality there is

Fair enough, I thought the clio would have had about that but surprised the 1.4 polo has 90. 75 would have been my guess.

Depends which engines in the clio, if its the 8v then 58bhp is correct if its the 16v engine its 70bhp.
