Hi all I currently have a qx6700 overclocked to 3.2 but as its a 65nm chip it does run a touch warm even with the corsair cooling. I was wondering if I would see a massive jump in temps if I moved to a q9650 which is 3ghz? I was thinking of trying a mild oc on the new chip to say about 3.4 or 3.6!

Whats peoples thoughts??

As we all know. Q6000 series----8M L2
Q7000 series----2M L2(in China we call it quad-core celeron)
Q8000 series----4M L2(in China we call it quad-core Pentium)
Q9000 series From 9100ES to 9450 ----6M L2
Q9550~9770 12M L2

I think If you are now using a Q7100(2M L2) or Q8200(4M L2).Go to Q9650(12M L2) is helpful for your PC.

But now you are using Q6700(8M L2).

Wait and wait........You could get I5/I7 sometime in the near future.
