Gigabyte f3?

i am building a pc for a mate and he wants to use a gigabyte mobo, i has a look on there website for which cpu are supported found the one he wants and next to it, It says f3 what does that mean?

The bios revision that added support for that CPU.

Does that come installed with the new motherboards? Is there a way to check this?

depends how long ago it was released, you can update the bios from a flash drive very easily though
