Evening All!

I am having trouble accessing my Windows 7 share via the 'Places -> Network' menu. It not only takes a while to open a window but also fails to show any shared folders after selecting 'Windows Network'.

However, I can access the shares by using 'Places -> Connect to server...'.

Any ideas? This worked fine in 9.04.

No idea about using the menu options as I don't tend to use them. Have you considered just mounting it permanantly so you can access it from a predefined folder somewhere?

After a lot of research I am now left with the same error as another post on this forum .. something along the lines of 'failed to retrieve share list'.

I tried a copy of fedora 12 but the same problem persists. Guess I'll just stick with the 'Connect to server' option.

Mounting the share permanently isn't an option really as I'm stuck with DHCP (I could assign manually, but the mother will only reset the router 'when the isp is playing up' losing all the settings).

Cheers anyway!
