ASUS withdrawing from mobo manufacturing

Hmmm, don't they already have a ''mainstream'' segment: AsRock ?


Asus mainboards already seem to have more small problems compared to the older days ( socket a & 478 period) and have more things that may break while being priced even higher ( and more stupid gimmicks like Republic of gamers with a heavy price premium).
I hope they won't cut quality for lower prices :(.

Read manufacturing. Not motherboard making.

In other words, ASUS OEM boards will be sold with Pegatron name, not ASUS. ASUS OEM boards were those in computers from different manufacturers, you could not buy them in shops.

Bad news for resale value of old 'asus' boards picked out from oem pc's :(
