Spacing question for menu bars - help

Hey guys I just got started on web designing in PS and this is a really noob question but what is the easiest way to get the correct spacing between links in menu bars?

for example;

whats the easiest way to ensure there is perfect spacing between the links and edges?

You would put it in an unordered list and use margin or padding or a combination of the two on the 'ul li a' elements.

If you wanted additional space between the side and the first link, you could apply additional padding to the 'ul' itself.

I don't plan on coding this, im doing it for fun so not interested in the HTML/CSS part , i just need to know how to get perfect spacing so the menu looks right and not like it does at the moment.

Ahhh, you meant in photoshop! I did wonder. Just use guides and the marquee tool. There's probably an easier way, but that will help you get it pixel perfect.
