This is a slightly humerous thread, not serious at all. You wouldnt ***** 50 grand on a car for use of 2 weeks of the year.

Assuming you were a premiership footballer, or a big high roller and could loose £50,000 down the back of the couch, and not notice, what would you choose ?

I'll plump for the obvious and go for the new Range Rover Supercharged with some off road tyres.

But would a big 4x4 actually be best ? feel free to discuss :)

Bugatti Veyron - it has 4 wheel drive

edit, didn't read the 50 grand part, although I'm sure you can pick one up used for that!

not necessarily for 50 grand, just thought id provoke an interesting discussion. 4x4 is the easy answer, but it bet its probably not the best...

Didnt stop my team leader at work boasting (jokingly) about being a driving god in his defender using difflock and low range to go up snowy unsalted hills etc..

I think I'd go for a GMC Sierra Denali with the 6.2 Vortec V8 (flex-fuel you know!)

oh we're going american are we ?

in that case i want to import one of these :D

Ford F350 Superduty

They use them as recovery tow trucks in the states, could pull trucks and busses out of snow all day long with that :D

6.4 V8 Diesel 350bhp and 650 lb/ft of torque at 2000 rpm :D

ORLY! I'll raise you a Ford F450 Super Duty King Range 2009 edition then!, with the 6.8 litre V10 with 650lbs ft of torque and the ability to pull an 24,000lbs 40 ft trailer.

A tow rating exceeding 24,000lbs is just unbelivable for something that isn't actually an artic cab, I don't think you can buy anything like that off a dealer in this country.

Here is a video with a bit about what the truck can 'really' do
