Spec me a "on the road" laptop

Hi all,

Help! I'm trying to find a laptop to buy.
Requirements:

* Size (13" sort of size)
* Battery (must have a decent battery life)
* Powerful enough to handle Premier Pro or Sony Vegas for video editing. Obviously not going to get a true desktop replacement, but looking for something that I can edit video whilst spending 24 hours a day in a car.

Any ideas?

Budget?

Best bang for buck would be the Asus UL30 @ £400 IMO.

I'm waiting for a UL30VT-A1. The 5600mha batteries and all the goodies. Should be around mid February. It's available in the US, but not yet in Europe.

the ul30 has been released, but without the extra graphics card. the -A series is with the better battery. That's 8-10 hours capacity

There is also the Acer Aspire 3810TZ, with great endurance, but also without the added graphics option. Will still do HDMI and 1080p videos.

And the Dell 13z obviously...budget would be helpful though, none of those are tremendously powerful as I believe it's all CULV chips....might be good enough but won't compete with even a reasonable speed core 2 chip.

Is that price right? As that's cheaper than a UL20A cost me in the States with a 3% credit card fee and from a store instead of online retailer.

Yeah, although this particular version has a Celeron SU2300, not the SU7300 as listed on most sites.

I've got a studio XPS13 which I can highly recommend. There is a 9 cell available for it which should extend the battery over 3 and a half hours.
