iPhone 3.1.3

* Improved accuracy of reported battery level on the iPhone 3GS
* Resolves issue where third-party apps would not launch in some cases
* Fixes a bug which may cause an app to crash when using the Japanese Kana keyboard.

The software update is compatible with all versions of the iPhone and iPod Touch and is available now through iTunes.

[EDIT] Installed painlessly, no major magic effects except placebo.

I think I'm going to delay upgrading.. my app development works (ad-hoc distribution) and those that are using are on 3.1.2 still.

I was too until recently but had lots of apps that couldnt update as they needed 3.1.2

The GPS has improved since updating the baseband amoung other things

This enables tethering on unlocked phones apparently.

This is only for those sold pre-unlocked, not for those of us on O2, who have just got their unlock apprently.

Has any one had any issues with that un-official tethering that was enabled a while ago?

I certainly seem to be showing more battery left at the end of the day than previously.

Same as - I can leave location services on and still have a similar battery level as before with that off.
