CDs and optical media - how do you store yours?

Random access - insert two fingers & grasp disk - check - if not required disk, reinsert in storage - repeat while not end . . . of time

Have them alphabetical.

Pick random disk with an educated guess. Move in the direction of the target disk with each new guess.

I just use one of these Datasafe storage case's which has padded sleeves for the disks and prevents any light from getting at them. Works a treat

I have a 16 sleeve cd carry case, It has about 25 discs in there

Things like windows, linux, repair cds

I never really burn anything else, so don't need to carry many

either in the case or on the spindle, most stuff i burn is unimportant all of the important stuff gets thrown onto a bootable usb drive and used that way

I rip them as soon as I buy them then put them in the original case in boxes in the loft.

Either in CD wallets or in cake boxes but always in the dark. Had good and bad and they still die after a year or two though, so don't rely on them for storage...

Have a few plastic storage boxes under my bed that hold about 120 cds each. Some are stored in a cupboard, dvds have their own cupboard and I've a tall glass fronted shelf from argos as well. Having said that most just sit unboxed in a pile on top of my cd player because I'm too lazy to find the boxes.

tbh anywhere sealed from light/water is a good idea!
