To be honest it's not totally based on how many freinds self worth, but everyone needs freinds. If you've not made any freinds at all after a few weeks in a new town, it might be time to make some changes.

Theres this big building called the pub, I find thats generally a good place if you want to begin meeting new people.

So you'd walk in to a pub on your own and just start chatting?

How odd. Personally if you came up to me I'd likely call the men in white coats...

If they were "real" friends they would **** the missus off and come out for a few beer with you! If they are under the thumb and not alout just take the p*** out of them.

If you were a real friend you wouldn't expect them to just "**** the missus off and come out for a few". That's a ridiculous argument that might work in school and cartoons, but that's about it.

Grrr - being off travelling and generally being a lad while my UK friends stayed at home and got lives and girlfriends and mortgages and all sorts of rubbish I normally try to avoid.... has meant that I actually don't have a single single friend in Hampshire now! Craziness

So valentines day pretty lonely for me. Can't even have a quiet drink with the lads that turns into a pillage of all the desperates out on the town tonight! Oh well!

I have all single friends (bar one)

So I have the oppisite problem of generally being the one who misses out most of the time, I left the loop :(

There was a stage when all my friends had no birds them BOOM all of them now have one. I have been away a little and coming home has hit me to the fact half of them don't go out no more and are saving for houses and nappies.

One of my friends has to book time off with his girlfriend to go out with his mates on his own.

I just tell mine I'm busy and she is old enough to know what to do!

I rarely count, but I have one friend afaik. A dude I've known since I was 5. I mostly socialise with people from work or gym but I don't really know if they could be counted as friends. To be honest, I spent zero time thinking about these things.
