Extending wireless network

Hi,

I'm currently using a Netgear DG834GT router on the Uber GT firmware.

To cut a long story short I need to move the router onto the ground floor of a three floor house. I suspect the signal will be pretty weak on the top floor, so I'm looking at buying a wireless extender.

Couple of questions:

- Which wireless extender do I need to buy?

- Where should I site the extender, 1st floor or 2nd floor? (Router is on ground floor and need coverage to include 3rd floor).

Any advice would be much appreciated,

Haha thats quality, nothin' like a ghetto mod to save some cash, I would love to know if this actually works for you fred
