SSD 20 Minute boot?! Another problem with my new install

Windows 7 64 bit fresh installed on to intel 80gb ssd. Everything was working fine. Boots were 30s etc but then all of a sudden, after a random restart:

the machine now takes 20 minutes to boot!

All patches installed, intel firmware installed on ssd, intel toolbox installed. No idea what is causing it to slow its boot time down like this.

I googled it and someone said something about a USB printer - so I unplugged all USB devices but it still seems to be booting while I write this message.

It gets to the glowing windows symbol on screen then instead of going to the OS, it just seems to hang there with it glowing on and off.

Ok so I gave up and decided to format again (I think this is my 4th format now)

Booted off the DVD, formatted the SSD. Clicked install...

Now its stuck at Expanding Windows files 0%. Again google searches only seem to show this problem occuring with damaged disks or beta disks that were burned to dvd. This is a retail disk from windows and its in good condition.

OK so it finally got its arse off 0% and here I am for day 2, trying to get this working.
