Hi Guys,

I have the asus p5k premium (black pearl edition) that i've recently paired up with the corsair H50 water cooling unit. I currently have my Q6600 @ 3.328 with idles of 35c and load temps of 68c using linpack (prime95 is 10c lower).

What i have noticed is the motherboard temp seems to be high 47-50c during prime testing a bit lower in linpack.

Are these normal temps?

I have good air flow in my antec p182(well i think so). One intake at the bottom and a noctua on the top as an exhaust.

Any and all help appreciated as i want to push the clock further but can't afford to fry anything yet.

Regards

Cal.

I think this may be the answer if any one would like to second it?

Apparently the motherboard sensor is located next to the vrm's at the top of the memory slots. So they are read differently and asus recommends keeping the temps between 0-65 degrees c. Phew
