Morning chaps. I've come in to a little bit of money (nothing massive, hence the budget :p) and I'd like to upgrade my PC as it's struggling on Bad Company 2, plus I'd like to play TF2 at full resolution (1920x1080) with all the bells and whistles enabled at a decent frame rate!

I have a few components that I will be keeping:

  • Crucial M225 64GB SSD
  • 500GB Hitachi Deskstar 7200rpm HDD (Will I see a noticeable difference if I upgrade to a WD Black Edition HDD? I'll be keeping games on this drive)
  • 16x Sony Optiarc DVD+RW
  • Antec Solo Case
  • X-Fi Xtreme Music
So... I'm after your advice on what I can get with my £500 budget, the components I'll be needing are:

  • CPU (Would prefer to stick with Intel, what are the new i3's like? I don't mind overclocking a little)
  • Motherboard
  • Memory (4GB minimum, if spare cash then 6GB would be nice...)
  • CPU Cooler
  • Graphics Card
  • PSU (Modular is a must)
  • HDD (See above, only needed if I will see a noticeable difference to my current Hitachi HDD)
This is what I've came up with so far:

Cheers :)
