Guys , I've done a couple of watercooled PC's, but a few years back. I'm going to get one of the 4.2 i7 bundles with the Rampage II & I already have a 5970 and a new Obsidian 800D sitting here.

Will a 360 Radiator be enough to cool the i7 and the 5970 and would someone recommend a good block for the cpu please.

Cheers

I think you'll be struggling with a 360, unless you have the fans going fast. I have a core i7 920 D0 with a 4870x2 in the same loop with a TFC Quad rad and my temps at 4.2 are 70 67 68 64. This is running IBT for 20 runs so obviously wont get as hot doing normal/gaming use.

I like my system to be a quiet as possible though so I try to have the fans down really low.

As for a water block for cpu, Heatkiller V3 Copper all the way.

Thanks guys.

Yep the bundle has an aircooler but I'd hope to be able to haggle over that as a long term very good customer!

Ok, not too happy with getting the saw out on the Case but I could hang a 240 or a second 360 out the back.

I'm thinking Pump>360 Rad>CPU>240 Rad>GPU>Res, does that sound ok and will it cope with the i7 and 5970?

Cheers
