Record sky on pc

Hi,

Not sure on the best option but one way seems to be run an RF (coax) cable from sky box to pc and connect to a TV card. Then use media centre to record it.

If this is a decent option can anyone recommend a TV card

Would this do the job (and are these "F" connectors on the back)

That card replaces the sky box, and only picks up free to air channels. Sky channels won't work, even with a card AFAIK (they use some non-standard format/encyrption).

You can record in standard def using a SCART to composite video+audio adapter and connect that to a normal TV card with composite input. Audio goes into your soundcard with the appropriate cable, 2x RCA male to 3.5mm jack probably.
