Onboard sound card.

Hey guys ,

I have an onboard realtek sound card. What cheap good sound card would you recommend to me?

What motherboard do you have? Newer motherboards have better audio than older generations. Also when you say cheap, how cheap? What will you be looking to use the sound card for mainly, should you get one, movies, gaming, music?

Well its an asus p5k motherboard. Also I will be using it for gaming.

I've got a P5K-E Wifi and I've never felt the need to upgrade to an additional card, even after using various SoundBlaster and Terratec cards for the last 15+ years.
